| | I was really sore today so I just ran by feel. Started the run with my pace well above 9 and finished in the mid 7's. I'm not too worried about getting in faster miles yet anyways. 8:07 average pace. | Add Comment |

| | I decided to take today fast (bad idea), and I learned that my endurance had dropped like a rock over the past couple weeks. It didn't help that I ran during the hottest part of the day. I went out at around 6:15 pace for the first few miles and felt great, then died. I actually had to stop a couple times, which was very discouraging. 6:34 average pace.
Afterwards, I did 10 very intense minutes of core and a brief strength session.

| | Much needed long run. Didn't even feel that winded afterwards. 7:12 average pace. I might start doubling next week.

| | Went out way too fast and faded hard again. My first two miles were both under 6 lol. I really need to chill on the pace; it's way too early for hard runs. A constant 6:40 pace would have been more than sufficient. 6:31 average pace.

| | Faster than most of my easy runs, but still felt really comfortable. 7:16 average pace.

| | I actually woke up early enough to run with the team lol. Trail run; I didn't start too fast this time and was able to hold a decent average pace despite the huge hills and sandy surface. 6:36 average pace.

| | 7 miles with the team at the Capitol. Didn't get my exact mileage because my GPS didn't get any signal up there, but on the way up I was averaging around 6:40 pace, and on the way down, it was around 5:20 pace (there were mile markers for a portion of the run).
Too many zero's last week; my motivation was lacking and I let it affect me. Discipline > motivation.

| | Easy miles in the early AM. 7:14 average pace. 10 minutes of core afterwards. | Add Comment |
| | Regular Wednesday trail run with the team. I made it to the top in 22:20, which is around 8:20 pace, but it's a tough run at a noticably higher altitude so I'm pretty proud of that. Last year, I got my time down to 21:00, so that's my goal for now. Almost 7 miles including the warmup and cooldown. | Add Comment |
| | I listened to an educational podcast during my workout in hopes that the run would seem shorter. It didn't. 7:10 average pace. | Add Comment |
| | At about 11 miles, I was at a stoplight, and I accidentally lost my data for the workout. It's frustrating that the "resume" button is literally right next to the "delete workout" button. 10/10 watch design. I seem to remember most of my miles at or below 7:20 pace, with the last few at below 7, so I'm going with 7:15 average pace. It was a sketchy night for a run.
